WHO WE ARE
Authentic in flavor, comfort in a bowl
Growing up as Asian-American kids, Chef Danny and Chef Phil knew the comfort of rice. We grew to see the classic staples from around Asia that so many people have come to identify as comfort. That is why we have dedicated ourselves to making the perfect bowl. Because it is part of who we are.

We have curated some of the most iconic rice bowls and we are now proudly serving these dishes in the Los Angeles area.

IT STARTS WITH THE RICE
All about the chew to fluffiness ratio
All of our bowls will be made from a proprietary hand blend of rice. Our blend is the perfect marriage of premium short-grain and jasmine rice that we have tested over and over again to achieve the perfect amount of chew to fluffiness. Through the years, we have looked at perfecting the process of rice cookery and just like true sushi men will say, "it's the rice that makes it."

GENERATIONAL RECIPES
Traditions handed down from our mamas
Both Chef Danny and Chef Phil are not only second generation Asian Americans, but they are both following in their parents footsteps in the food industry. With generational recipes that have been around for over twenty years, like the Bulldog sauce (Donkatsu) from Chef Phil's mom's restaurant in Seoul, to the dumplings that are completely handmade, by Chef Danny's mother we want our guests to feel like they are receiving a true homemade meal made by the best cooking mom out there. We aren't re-inventing any of these dishes, because they all are stars on their own, but our approach is to really elevate them and make guests feel the value through the presentation and flavor of each rice bowl.
